Stretch Marks Home Remedy

Stretch marks are a narrow band resulting from tension on the skin meaning lines on the skin surface mostly found in the abdominal wall, below the umbilicus, and can also be seen over thighs and breasts. Though these stretch marks mostly occur during pregnancy but there are other reasons as well for the stretch marks like weight gain and loss. It is not always necessary that all develops the stretch marks but it is common among women especially at the time of pregnancy but others develop the stretch mark due to generic tendency.

So, as many woman desires for a healthy looking skin free of stretch marks, they look into various options for treating their stretch marks. As little research work has been done to prevent or treat stretch marks, women since ages have relied on the use of home remedy for removing their stretch marks. Some of the home remedies for removing stretch marks are:

A daily massage with any one of the following oils namely olive oil, flaxseed oil, cod-liver oil or vitamin E oil can prove to be helpful for the skin.

A mixture of following ingredient olive oil, aloe vera gel and a capsule of vitamin A & E can be applied daily to the skin to treat stretch marks.

Another home remedy is the use of cocoa or shea butter. Cocoa butter should be applied on the affected area soon after a warm bath as it can be easily absorbed in the open pores.

Yet, another way is to apply a paste of turmeric and milk or curd to the affected area that results not only into a fairer skin but its continuous use will help us remove stretch marks.

Apart from all this what is more important is to remember the fact that a healthy food can help us get over all diseases and one should increase the intake of healthy food. The intake of foods containing vitamins A, E and C like in carrots, papayas, tomatoes. Even fish oils will help in the growth of our skin.
